Our 5-Step process to Cleaning and Staining wood decks and fences are:

Pre-Wet the Wood

We pre-wet the wood thoroughly to fill the wood cells with water, so that when we apply the wood cleaner or wood stripper, it will sit closer to the surface.

This step is essential for producing a more effective result.

Surprisingly, we have seen other companies fail to create this water barrier,

which may prematurely dry out the wood or leave a whitish look to the wood after cleaning. 

Now, the wood is ready for the next steps of our process.

Apply Our Eco-Cleaner

Our Eco-Cleaner is a specially formulated eco-friendly chemical cleaner that is designed specifically to clean outdoor wood structures like decks and wood fences.

It is very effective for removing organic growth and works better than most cleaners on the market. It does not damage the wood (like bleach or other toxic chemical cleaners).

Thorough Rinsing

Our eco-cleaners remove remove heavy organic growths, such as lichen, mildew, and moss. 

Dirt, mold, debris is all rinsed away thoroughly in this step.

Note that some companies use very high pressure to blast debris off of your deck or fence.

This damages the wood and causes that "fuzzy" effect you may have seen in the surface of the wood.

Most companies use a sander to remove this fuzziness, which is okay, if you like the smell of dust up your nose.

Our process is to rinse, rinse, and rinse again! We rinse until all of the cleaner or stripper is gone and the surface is fresh and clean.

Apply a Brightener

Our wood brightener restores the wood to its natural color tone. If your fence is Cedar, then it will go to a pinkish color.

Pine fences will return to a natural yellow hue.

Our wood brightener opens the pores in the wood to allow better stain absorption, so your deck or fence holds onto the color better,

balances the pH levels of your wood, which helps to secure the maximum protection from Stain & Seal Experts transparent, semi-transparent, or semi-solid stains.

Don't forget we rinse, rinse, and rinse the wood surfaces after applying the neutralizing agent.

It's according to the industry standard for wood care.

Apply Our Stain with Conditioning Oils

Stain & Seal Experts conditioning oils penetrate all the way through the wood, making it healthy again.

This "relaxes" the wood and allows boards that are "curled" and "warped" to relax and to begin to return to their original shape.

Of course, Stain & Seal Experts stain protects the wood from the harmful future damage - so we don't end up here again in the future!
